4 Ways To Get Your Blog Noticed

Extra Features That Will Make Your Website Stand Out

One of the best ways to get customers to visit your website is to write a blog that they want to read. However, writing a blog and getting it noticed are two different things, and it’s the latter that is often the most difficult part. Your blog is an important marketing tool, so you need to let people know about it. Here are some useful tips on making sure people read what you have written.

Stick To Your Topic

If you want people to keep coming back to read every new blog post that you put up, you need to make sure that you define what you are going to be writing about from the start and stick with that idea. If you keep choosing different topics that aren’t related and perhaps don’t even bear much in common with your business and what you sell, people will be confused, and they won’t know whether your blog is going to be of use to them or not. Therefore, they may bypass it altogether and go somewhere that they can rely on for information that is relevant to them.

You need to choose what you are going to write about and always incorporate that into your blog somehow. It could be anything from top lithium stocks to the best places to take the kids on a day out, as long as it related to your business and the people reading it.

Use Social Media

Readership levels on your website can be good, but to really get the numbers up higher; you should look at using social media. Posting your blog up on Facebook, for example, on your business page, which all businesses should have, will give you a huge reach. Since it will be shareable, your readers can easily let other people know how useful they found it either by sharing it directly or by tagging people in the comments. Either way, your blog post is going to be getting a lot more attention. You can even boost your posts to make them go even further.

Make It SEO Friendly

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the best way to make your blog more noticeable. When you identify the right keywords to place strategically in your blog post, it is more likely to come up on internet searches for your topic or product. These keywords or phrases need to be incorporated into your blog post in as natural a way as possible so that your readers don’t find it difficult or strange to read, and so that the search engine ‘bots’ can pick it up easily. There are certain word orders and sequences to use that will benefit your blog more than others, so it is worth studying SEO techniques before you start writing.

Make It Simple

Whatever your chosen subject is, it’s likely that you will know a lot about it. That can be both good and bad for your blog. It’s good that the information will be correct and informative, but it’s potentially bad because you might write in too technical a manner about your subject, and that can drive people away rather than bring them to you. You need to ensure that you are writing in layman’s terms so that you don’t alienate your readers, unless, of course, you are selling in a business-to-business capacity, in which case a more technical approach may work better.
