Are Your Marketing Materials Getting Noticed?

Affordable Marketing Strategy

Businesses tend to put a lot of time, energy, resources, and funds into their marketing campaigns. The marketing campaign is how they reach out to current customers and clients, as well as find new ones. A lot hinges on the campaign, so it needs to be successful. If you find your efforts aren’t giving you the results you had hoped for, it may be time to ask if your marketing materials are getting noticed.

A Two-Fold Approach to Marketing Material

When it comes to marketing materials, it is a two-fold approach. First there is the actual content, the message of the material. What is it that you are trying to convey to customers and clients? Typically, businesses spend a lot of time and energy on this part. What may not get as much time and focus is the aesthetics of the campaign. This is how the campaign and each of the individual materials look, and this is the part we are going to focus on in this article.

You may have heard about the 40/40/20 rule of marketing? This refers to the fact that 40% of the success should be based on the mailing list (who it is going out to), 40% is based on the offer itself (the content), and the final 20% is based on “everything else”, which includes the design and how it looks.

The Use of Headlines

In creating your design approach, you want to make sure you use large, descriptive headlines. Typical customers/clients won’t sit there and read through the material from start to finish as you hoped, instead they will scan it. You want headlines to grab their attention so that they will spend time reading the content. By having descriptive headlines, you will also be covering the basics if they just end up reading the headline.

Use a Unique Logo

Another tip has to do with your logo. When creating your logo, there needs to be a focus on uniqueness and making it distinct. You want people to look at this logo and get an instant sense of what kind of company you are and what the image is you are trying to portray. Things such as shapes, colours, and the font matters when creating a logo.

Make sure this logo appears on all your marketing material.

Use Relevant and Intriguing Images

A marketing campaign filled with text is one that is going to be tossed to the side rather quickly. Look for a way to use interesting and relevant images that add to the content, and help to drive your message home.

Use a Professional Printing Service

Now because you’ve spent the time to make it look great, the final touch, which is the printing, also has to be high quality. Professional printing places offer such things as customisable A4 presentation folders where you can include your company logo and details, printed brochures and booklets, presentation boxes, and even printed ring binders. Going this extra mile helps to make your material look that much more professional, and generate more interest.

Make Sure You Look at All Angles

In order to get your marketing materials noticed you need to give equal attention to the content and how you present it.
