Cloud computing has really taken off. In the last eight years, the market has grown from around $20 billion dollars to a staggering $120 billion, and it’s still growing. By 2020, it will be $200 billion according to the boys and girls over at Goldman Sachs. But why?

It’s mainly being driven by the reduction in cost and improved usability of IT systems it offers. Companies no longer have to maintain their own in-house IT systems. Instead, they can just pay a monthly fee to a third party company, and they’ll manage the problem for them.

Cloud computing allows your employees to do things that they would not have been able to do in the past. They can collaborate in real time. They can access work on the go. And they can have their work schedules updated electronically, reducing the need for paperwork and phone calls.
