Timberline Ridge has an excellent selection of historic properties, including many of the oldest homes in the Highlands Ranch area. Many of the homes in Timberline Ridge are set in cul de sacs and many back onto open space. There are some beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains and the surrounding area from Timberline Ridge.
The Timberline Ridge neighborhood is a very green area with an abundance of open space. Many of the properties here are set in large lots that offer plenty of space for gardeners or for children to play. The older properties in the neighborhood are particularly likely to come with large yards. There are some beautiful gardens in this neighborhood and the landscaping is mature, featuring many attractive trees.
The Timberline Ridge neighborhood offers a wide range of recreational facilities. Highlands Ranch is one of the most desirable areas in the Denver area, largely due to its excellent amenities. The residents of Timberline Ridge have easy access to the Northridge and Eastridge recreation centers. There are some beautiful local parks, including the nearby Toepfer Park and Sandcreek Park. Toepfer Park has a children’s playground, a restroom, a picnic and barbeque area, a picnic shelter, a basketball court and a sports field. Facilities in this park include a basketball court, a soccer field and a picnicking and barbeque area. The Highlands Ranch Trail System can also be accessed from Timberline Ridge, offering a wide selection of routes for walking, running and cycling.
The Highlands Ranch Community Association works in Timberline Ridge, along with the rest of the Highlands Ranch area. Timberline Ridge also has its own Home Owners Association. This secondary HOA provides the residents of the neighborhood with additional facilities such as a private community pool for people living in Timberline Ridge. Both associations also organize community activities and events.
The nearest shopping area to Timberline Ridge is Eastridge, which offers a good range of shops, including grocery stores. There are also some good restaurants at Eastridge, which is only about five minutes away from Timberline Ridge. The Park Meadows Mall offers additional shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities, and is only a ten minute drive away from the Timberline Ridge neighborhood.
Timberline Ridge is within the Douglas County School District. Children in this neighborhood usually attend elementary school at Sand Creek, middle school at Mountain Ridge and high school at Mountain Vista. Other local schools include Cresthill Middle School and Highlands Ranch High School.
Timberline Ridge has excellent transportation links with the rest of the Denver area. It is possible to commute easily into the city of Denver, including downtown Denver, or to other centers of employment in the region, such as the Lockheed plant and the Meridian area.
